Grant Specialist 

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Contract Grant Specialists to join our team on a project basis. As a Contract Grant Specialist, you will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals on behalf of our organization and clients. Your primary objective will be to secure funding from government agencies, foundations, and other sources to support programs, initiatives, and projects. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of successful grant writing, excellent research skills, and the ability to craft compelling proposals that effectively communicate the organization's mission and goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with our organization's mission and strategic objectives.

  • Collaborate with program managers, finance department, and other stakeholders to gather information necessary for grant proposal development.

  • Write clear, concise, and persuasive grant proposals that effectively communicate our organization's goals, objectives, and impact to potential funders.

  • Customize proposals to meet the specific requirements and guidelines of each funding opportunity.

  • Coordinate with relevant team members to gather data, statistics, and other supporting materials to strengthen grant proposals.

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of our organization's programs, initiatives, and projects to effectively represent them in grant proposals.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, best practices, and regulations in grant writing and funding opportunities.

  • Manage the grant application process, including organizing and submitting all required documentation within specified deadlines.

  • Track the status of grant applications and provide regular updates to the management team.

  • Maintain accurate records of all grant proposals, submissions, and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., English, Communications, Nonprofit Management) or equivalent work experience.

  • Proven experience in grant writing, preferably with a successful track record of securing grants for nonprofit organizations.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.

  • Strong research skills to identify funding opportunities and gather relevant information to support grant proposals.

  • Familiarity with grant application processes, including knowledge of common grant application platforms and submission procedures.

  • Knowledge of nonprofit organizations, their structures, and funding mechanisms.

  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple grant proposals and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.

  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial concepts related to grant proposals.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with potential funders.
